A Dublin dental clinic with an outdated website, no Google presence, and a waiting room that wasn't filling up. Here's how we fixed all three.
The Adare Clinic is a busy dental practice in Dublin. The team is excellent, the patient experience is strong, and the reviews — when patients could find them — were consistently positive. The problem: almost nobody could find them online.
The existing website had been built by a local web developer in 2019. It loaded slowly on mobile, had no structured data, no treatment pages, no online booking, and was essentially invisible in Google's local results. Searches for "dentist Dublin" or "teeth whitening Dublin" returned competitors — many of them with objectively worse practices — because their websites were simply better optimised.
The clinic's owner came to us with one clear goal: "Fill the appointment book." Not a redesign for its own sake. Not a prettier website. A website that generates patients.
The 7-day build is not a shortcut. It's a constraint that forces focus. No three-week discovery phases, no stakeholder presentations, no endless revision loops. One client. One goal. One week.
We scraped the existing site, reviewed their Google Business reviews for language their patients actually used, and built a content brief. Target keywords confirmed: "dental clinic dublin", "teeth whitening dublin", "dentist near me dublin". Sitemap agreed: 8 pages including 4 treatment-specific landing pages.
Clean, clinical, premium. Dark background with white and soft mint accents — positioning above budget dental, below luxury. Typography: Poppins for headings, Inter for body. Brand card signed off by end of day.
Homepage, About, Treatments hub, 4 treatment landing pages (Teeth Whitening, Dental Implants, Invisalign, Emergency Dentist), and Contact. All pages include on-page SEO, structured data, and mobile-first responsive layout. Online booking widget integrated. Before/after gallery implemented.
Client walkthrough on staging URL. Two rounds of copy tweaks and one layout adjustment on the homepage hero. Google Analytics 4 and Search Console connected. Google Business Profile fully completed with clinic photos.
DNS cutover, SSL, final performance check (Lighthouse mobile: 94). Sitemap submitted to Search Console. Live.
The design is what prospects notice first. The technical work is what Google notices. For The Adare Clinic, the gap between the old and new site was significant on both dimensions — but the technical delta was what drove the ranking movement.
The original site had three problems causing slow load times: uncompressed images (a 4MB hero image), render-blocking JavaScript from three third-party plugins, and no browser caching headers. We resolved all three. Images served in WebP at appropriate sizes via Vercel's CDN. Third-party scripts deferred or removed. Result: LCP dropped from 8.4 seconds to 1.8 seconds on mobile. Lighthouse mobile score: 94.
The original site had no schema markup. We implemented four schema types: LocalBusiness + Dentist on the homepage (with NAP, opening hours, service area, and geo coordinates), Service on each treatment page with pricing where applicable, FAQPage answering the top five questions patients ask before booking, and BreadcrumbList on every page.
Within six weeks of launch, the Teeth Whitening page was appearing in Google's "People Also Ask" box — zero additional effort required beyond the schema markup on launch day.
The clinic had a claimed Google Business Profile, but it was roughly 40% complete. No services listed, no photos, no posts, category set to "Business" rather than "Dental Clinic." We completed every field, uploaded 22 photos (clinic interior, treatment rooms, team), set the correct primary and secondary categories, and added a service menu with all treatments and pricing. Then we built a review collection system — a text message template sent to every patient after each visit with a direct Google review link.
The clinic went from 12 reviews to 47 reviews in 90 days — a 3.9× increase. Average rating held at 4.8★. Google's local algorithm treats review velocity (new reviews per month) as a trust signal. This was the single biggest factor in the Local Pack ranking jump.
SEO results take time. Map pack results typically move faster than organic. Here's where The Adare Clinic stood 90 days after launch.
The Local Pack result is the most commercially significant. When someone in Dublin searches "dentist near me" or "dental clinic dublin," The Adare Clinic now appears in the three highlighted results with stars, phone number, and a directions button — before any organic result. That visibility is worth more than any paid ad at the same position.
The +40% enquiry increase combines organic traffic growth with improved on-site conversion. The new site has a click-to-call button in the header, a simplified contact form with an expected response time (under 2 hours during business hours), and an online booking integration. Less friction means more bookings from the same traffic volume.
"We'd been meaning to sort the website for three years. Dusan had it live in seven days and I had more enquiries in the first month than the previous three months combined."
Practice Manager, The Adare ClinicThe launch was the foundation, not the finish line. The Adare Clinic is now on a Growth retainer — monthly SEO work to continue building ranking authority and protect the Local Pack position.
Ongoing work includes: monthly keyword ranking reports, two new content pieces per month (targeting longer-tail treatment terms like "how much does Invisalign cost in Dublin"), Google Business post management, review collection oversight, and quarterly technical audits.
The 12-month target: Page 1 organic for five additional treatment-specific keywords, and 80+ Google reviews at 4.7★+. At current velocity, both are on track.
