Cookie Policy

Every cookie and similar technology this site uses, with full purpose, duration, and how to control it.

Version 1.0 · Effective 5 May 2026 · Last updated 5 May 2026
Applies to webfluence.digital. Read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let the site remember your actions and preferences (such as your cookie-consent choice). We also use a related browser-storage technology, localStorage, to remember your consent. The rules in this Policy apply to both collectively (“cookies”).

2. Our approach

We use the fewest cookies necessary to operate the site and, with your consent, measure traffic via Google Analytics 4. We use no marketing or advertising cookies at this time. EU/EEA/UK visitors see a consent banner on first visit; non-essential cookies do not fire until you click Accept all.

We use Google Consent Mode v2 — when consent is denied, GA4 still loads but with all storage flags set to denied, meaning no cookies are written and no identifiable data is collected.

3. Cookies and storage we use

3.1 Strictly necessary (always on, no consent required)

These are required for the site to function or remember your consent choice.

NameTypePurposeProviderDuration
wf_cookie_consent localStorage Stores your cookie consent choice (granted / denied) plus a timestamp so we know when to re-prompt. WebFluence Digital (first-party) 180 days
__cf_bm HTTP cookie Cloudflare bot management — distinguishes humans from automated traffic. Cloudflare 30 minutes
cf_clearance HTTP cookie Cloudflare DDoS / challenge clearance — set after a successful security check, lets you continue browsing. Cloudflare up to 30 days

Cloudflare cookies are set only when Cloudflare deems them necessary (e.g. during a security challenge); they may not be present on every visit.

3.2 Analytics (consent-gated, OFF by default)

Loaded only after you click Accept all on our cookie banner. With consent denied, these cookies are not written.

NameTypePurposeProviderDuration
_ga HTTP cookie Distinguishes unique visitors for Google Analytics 4. Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, D04 E5W5) 2 years
_ga_YX063DWS66 HTTP cookie Persists session state for our specific GA4 property (G-YX063DWS66). Google Ireland Limited 2 years

Analytics is loaded via Google Tag Manager (container GTM-K3FBRR26) and runs with IP anonymisation enabled (GA4 default). We do not use Google Signals and we do not link analytics data to advertising audiences.

3.3 Marketing / advertising

None at this time. If we add any in future, this Policy will be updated, the cookie banner re-displayed, and we will obtain fresh consent before any marketing cookie fires.

4. How to change your choice

5. Managing cookies via your browser

Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the site (e.g. you may not be able to dismiss the cookie banner). Cloudflare necessary cookies are exempt from consent under EU ePrivacy guidance because they are required to deliver the service you requested.

6. Do Not Track

Some browsers send a Do Not Track signal. There is no industry consensus on how to honour it; this site does not currently respond to DNT. We honour your explicit choice in our cookie banner instead.

7. International transfers

Google Analytics data is processed by Google Ireland Limited (controller for EU/EEA users) with onward transfer to Google LLC (USA) under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Cloudflare is operated by Cloudflare Ireland Limited for EU users. See our Privacy Policy for full details on processors and transfers.

8. Changes

If we add or remove cookies, we will update this Policy and re-prompt for consent where the change affects non-essential cookies.
