Payment Gateway · Ireland + UK

Stop renting your payments stack.

Stripe and your bank's card machine take a flat cut of every sale — and bury their margin inside it. We operate our own payment gateway, so you pay transparent interchange-plus instead. Lower fees, online and in person, integrated for you. We undercut every card terminal in the country.

Every flat rate hides a markup. Ours doesn't.

Stripe, SumUp, Square and the high-street banks all charge a blended flat rate — one number that quietly bundles the wholesale card cost together with their profit. We charge the wholesale cost plus one stated margin, so you can see exactly what you're paying. Here's how the published rates stack up.

A worked example

A business turning over €50,000/month on cards, ~1,000 transactions.

On a 1.5% + €0.25 flat rate~€1,000/mo
On transparent interchange-plus*~€300/mo

Same sales. Same cards. Lower cost of taking the money.

Competitor figures are each provider's standard published rates (correct at time of writing; your contracted rate may differ). *Our figure is illustrative for a typical EEA card mix — there is no single published rate that fits every business, which is exactly the point. We quote your real number against your actual volume and card mix on a 20-minute call, and if we can't beat what you pay now, we'll tell you.

Typical reduction in total card costs after switching from a flat-rate processor.

Lock-in. No multi-year terminal rental contracts holding your business hostage.

1×

One gateway for online, recurring and in-person — one rate conversation, not three contracts.

Three businesses paying too much to get paid.

If you're processing real volume on a flat rate, building something that needs to take cards, or juggling a website processor and a separate bank terminal — this is built for you.

01
The high-volume operator

You're doing real numbers on a flat rate, and the markup adds up fast.

Clinic, salon, gym, restaurant, e-commerce shop — you're putting €30k, €50k, €100k a month through cards. At a 1.5%–1.75% blended rate, that flat percentage is one of your largest fixed costs and it scales linearly with success. Every euro of growth hands the processor more margin you never agreed to.

Transparent interchange-plus flips that. You pay the real wholesale cost plus one stated margin. The bigger your volume, the wider the gap between what you pay now and what you'd pay us.

We read your current statementSend us a recent processing statement. We work out your true effective rate — the number most providers hope you never calculate.
We quote against your real mixYour rate is set on your actual volume and debit/credit split — not a one-size headline number.
We board the accountMerchant account set up in a few business days once your documents are in.
You keep the differenceThe saving lands every month, on the same sales you're already making.
02
The build that needs payments

You're launching a website, app or SaaS and you need to take cards properly.

You don't just need a "buy button." You need a checkout that matches your brand, passes 3-D Secure for every EU and UK card, vaults cards for repeat purchases, and runs subscriptions without breaking when a payment retries. Most teams reach for Stripe by default and accept the flat rate as the cost of moving fast.

We build payments in as the layer we own — the same gateway, integrated into your site or app, on a rate you'll actually want as you scale. No bolt-on, no second integration later.

In-page or hosted checkoutBranded card fields embedded in your site, or a hosted pay page with zero card code on your servers — your call.
3-D Secure 2 + fraud screeningSCA handled on every transaction. Tokenisation keeps your PCI scope at the lowest tier.
Subscriptions + saved cardsNative recurring billing, trials, dunning on failed payments, and one-click repeat purchase.

The split-stack business

One processor for the website, a separate bank machine for the counter. Two contracts, two rates, two reports.

Your online sales go through one provider and your in-person sales through a card machine on a different contract with different fees, different statements, and different settlement times. Reconciling the two is a monthly headache and neither rate is as good as it would be combined.

One merchant account covers all of it — online checkout, pay-by-link invoices, recurring billing and in-person terminals including Tap to Pay. One rate, one set of reporting, one number to call.

Online + in-person, one accountWebsite, counter and field sales settle into the same place on the same rate.
Pay-by-link invoicingEmail a branded invoice with a secure pay link — useful for trades, services and deposits.
One reconciliationAll channels in one reporting view. Nightly export into your accounting if you want it.
Tap to PayTake contactless on a phone — no separate hardware contract required.

A full payments stack. Not just a checkout box.

Everything you need to take money — online, recurring and in person — on one gateway we operate and integrate for you.

CFS Ireland — a live merchant-services site we designed and built.

CFS Ireland is one of our case-study clients: a merchant-services business we built a conversion-first website for. We understand how card processing is sold, priced and reconciled — and now we operate the gateway underneath it. The same conversion-first thinking goes into your checkout as into your site.

Lower processing. Integration handled. No lock-in.

The processing rate is the saving — and it's quoted on your real volume, because no honest single number fits every business. The integration around it is scoped on the same call.

Both start with the same 20-minute call. Bring a recent processing statement if you have one — it's the fastest way for us to show you the saving in real numbers.

Questions before you switch.

We operate our own payment gateway rather than reselling someone else's, so there's no middle-man markup stacked on top. You pay transparent interchange-plus: the wholesale cost set by Visa and Mastercard, plus one clearly stated margin — instead of a blended flat rate like Stripe's 1.5% + €0.25 that quietly bundles profit into every transaction. For most businesses doing real volume, the all-in cost lands well below Stripe and below every high-street card machine. The more you process, the bigger the gap.
Yes. The gateway is PCI-DSS compliant and supports 3-D Secure 2 (SCA) out of the box, which is mandatory for EU and UK card payments. Card data is tokenised so it never touches your own servers, which keeps your PCI burden to the lowest tier. Fraud screening and Address Verification are available on every transaction.
No. We handle the integration. For most sites it's a drop-in change — an in-page checkout that matches your branding, or a hosted pay page if you want zero code on your side. If you're on Stripe today, we migrate your checkout and, where possible, your saved cards, so your customers notice nothing except that payments keep working. Existing WebFluence web clients get the integration done as part of the switch.
Yes. The same merchant account covers online checkout, recurring billing, pay-by-link invoices, and in-person card terminals including Tap to Pay. One gateway, one set of reporting, one rate conversation — instead of one provider for your website and a separate card machine contract with your bank.
Yes. Cards can be securely vaulted for one-click repeat purchases, and the gateway runs native recurring billing for subscriptions and memberships — plans, trials, retries on failed payments, and SCA-compliant authentication for both customer-initiated and merchant-initiated charges.
Boarding a merchant account typically takes a few business days once we have your documents. Integration on top is usually live within the same week for a standard checkout. We don't trap you in multi-year terminal rental contracts — the pitch is a lower transparent rate, not a lock-in. If the numbers don't beat what you pay now, we'll tell you on the first call.

Book a 20-minute call. Bring a recent processing statement and we'll work out your true effective rate, quote you ours, and show you the monthly saving in real numbers. If we can't beat what you pay now, we'll say so.
